Highly nutrious energy foods and easy to digest
Dates are highly nutritious, add sweetness and eating 6 a day in the weeks approaching birth help soften and ripen the cervix. Honey, agave, maple syrup can also be used to sweeten naturally if needed. Use organic produce especially soft fruits like berries where possible to eradicate pesticides and chemicals. Organic non dairy milks like almond, coconut, hazelnut, soya, oat,… are better than inorganic cows milk which is often ladened with agricultural pesticides, antibiotics and hormones, excluding the lactase enzymes which humans don’t produce to break down lactose and can lead to gut intolerances. I also add a splash of essential fatty acid omega 3,6 & 9 oils like udos, viridian beauty oil, fish, hemp or flaxseed oil and a tsp of organic coconut oil, which helps lubricate the internal passages, recommended before labour, as well as being a good fat. Nuts and seeds can be added fibre and vitamins, like almonds, walnuts, flax, hemp seeds,… Wheatgerm rich in B vitamins or organic oats can also be added. including 1tsp of protein powder, collagen, maca, lacuma, moringa, spirulina,… Endless variations.
